Sky News Correspondent Nick Martin reports all over the world and from his base in Manchester tackles the big stories to affect the UK
From Mexico’s war on drugs to terror attacks and natural disasters, Nick has covered some of the biggest news events over the past two decades, both home and abroad.
Nick has an extensive range of work from responding to breaking news stories to producing and directing documentaries.
In 2010, he was awarded TV News Story of the Year by the Foreign Press Association for his investigation into the sale of Mexican babies to the United States. His report was described as an ‘example of extraordinary journalism in the face of great danger’.
He has been honoured twice by the Royal Television Society and in 2010 was nominated for an Amnesty International Award.
Before joining Sky News Nick was a Correspondent with Channel 4 News. Before that, a reporter at ITN and ITV.
Nick began his career at the age of 16 as a cub reporter on his local newspaper in Newcastle upon Tyne.
